cage is absolutely out of control in this movie. He takes his character way to over the top in this movie and thinks that his character should always be on the edge of having a seizure. personal favorite is 8.40

hahaha this is like the wonder years mixed with a G rated Blue Velvet. Cage rips off so much shit from Dennis hopper in blue velvet. This had to be joke his brother and him did fro the hell of it. Still better performance than wickerman.

To be honest I think this film was made for laughs in the first place, it's so hammy in everything from the fake beard at the end there to the soundtrack. Cage is so over the top and absurd I have a hard time believing they were that misguided in aiming for a straight thriller with this, it would be like saying Bad Taste or Pirahna were serious films. If that's the case then it's one of most intentionally hilarious and misunderstood films I've ever seen.
