I Walk the Line was a song sang by Johnny Cash, and the song was originally recorded at Sun Studio on April 2, 1956, . He was going to call it "Because You're Mine", but Carl Perkins thought he should call it "I Walk The Line". The rest is history.

I haven't been in touch with him for a long time- i'd like to dedicate this great song to him! Poor guy has nothing to do but sit in an old armchair raging about the way life's treated him. Thanks for that- an interesting interpretation. I read that it was also about his wanting to toe the line- not break any laws etc- I think that's why it's an inspiration to offenders. Anyhow, what an incredible song and I'm sure my friend derives great comfort from listening to it- disturbed as he is. I also hope that others listen to its message, or they might end up the wrong side of the bench- like my friend!
