Yeah, well take another quick look, because next time you look away then look back, it won't be. You know Putin has the right to overturn municipal elections and place someone who he deems more suitable (AKA one of his interests) as mayor instead? Russia is sliding into a democratic dark age and soon will be no better then Myanmar is now, just less people will fight for freedom in Russia.

Yes, but Communism is only one of many evils mankind has produced and experienced. There are forms of oppression, other than pure Communism, as well. Myanmar is a sheer example. Russia is, communist or not, a dictatorial state in its very roots. It has never ben fit for dmocracy. Neither is China and other powerful countries. Neither is Myanmar if the dictatorial autocracy managed to survive for 45 years and is likely to live on. Horrible.

Therefore I guess what I am saying is at the end of the day - it's a testing time for the people of Myanmar to somehow overthrow the junta and it's up to the outer world (especially the US Japan, Europe) to help make it work.
