It's an optional fight, you don't have to fight him, just don't ring the bell, just climb to where you fought tiamat and go to Ultemica. I just beat the game like an hour ago and that was the last thing I had to do, but my brother said I didn't have to,so I fought Ultemicia and won my first time fighting her.

the easy way to beat omega weapon is to cast triple on everyone have one person cast aura then one use holy war to make everyone invincible then just hit omega with your specials hopefully you can get squall to use lion heart just repeat that and youll beat him but you still might die cuz that bitch is hard ha and yea you dont have to fight him hes more of a test to see if youre good enough to kill him idk. oh and i love this game my favorite game of all time

I do like Lionheart, but Zell has a much more consistent and more damaging Limit Break.

it is more consistent and thats why i like zell and i use him in my main party but he has some moves that dont do damage to bosses and that kinda sucks and squall does have the downside that he might do some gay move after renzokuken like rough divide or some gay shit but when he does lion heart that does over 100,000damage and its the strongest attack in the game i think so yea idk i prefer trying to get him to do that shit

If all of them were at the appropriate Crisis Level, Irvine and Zell both do more damage than Squall. Squall's limit is easy and if you do nail Lionheart, you're done. Zell isn't too hard either, just start with Booya. Irvine is the potential to do the most damage but not everybody can pull the trigger that fast.

I would love to see anyone (hopefully only SquareEnix) try to make a game that is better then Final Fantasy VIII! This game was and always will be the best game ever! Thank you SquareSoft for continuing the project to Final FantasyVIII and beyond, and Thank you Hironobu Sakaguchi for making one last (and the best one you ever made) game before your retirement! Great name by the way! it really fit since you were retiring! Never thought it would become the greatest series of games ever made!

yea against regular monsters and most bosses its pointless to try to get squall to do lionheart most likely youll win the fight before he does it but against bosses like ultima, omega weapons and ultimecia you just gotta take the chance to try to use lionheart unless you wanna take even longer and make them more difficult haha idk and dam talking about this game is making me wanna go play it i gotta go get ps out ha
