Representative Monique D. Davis (D) - Bias against atheists
Uploaded by: wimvandenberghe
Video Description:
Illinois State Legislator Monique Davis launched an attack on atheism, calling it "dangerous for our children". She was confronting well-known atheist Rob Sherman Wednesday afternoon 2 April 2008 in the General Assembly as Sherman testified before the House State Government Administration regarding Gov. Rod Blagojevich's oddly misdirected $1 million grant intended for Pilgrim Baptist Church. Sherman told reporters afterwards he "felt like Rosa Parks".

lly apologized to Rob Sherman for her unwarranted and prejudiced attack against him and atheism in general. See http://www.robsherman.com for a full account. People have a right to their religions or to reject religion, and the state should be neutral regarding this. (Christian) prayer in public s
chools and giving state money to (Christian) churches goes against this. Either you give equal time and money to all religions and belief systems or to none. Long live state secularism!

Agreed! This poor deluded woman has been so indoctrinated to believe these myths that she lacked enough sanity to speak rationally even within a public legislature. (She'd get away with it at Obama's church) I think a great part of why religion has continued to propel itself over the centuries,
having faith has been a kind of mass hallutionation. Up till now has gone mostly unchallenged.
Worse, she's a state representative and a DEMOCRAT, which means Atheists probably voted for her! So there's gratitude for you.
I've yet to find a comment of yours that WASN'T spewing hate. You're just as bad as Davis.
Unfortunately she will be only become some drity food for some rather unfortunate worms...
The Constitutional freedom OF religion; so does that INCLUDE freedom FROM all religion? Methinks Jefferson et al have pondered this and left us with wise footprints to follow. Ah, finally a black woman in Illinois I hate more than Oprah, you militant Bitch!
Robert Sherman
Now, care to TRY justifying your comment "i can tell you right now lincoln would not believe in a diety if he were alive today." Not your OPINION, give FACTS, ANYTHING that supports the statement that TODAY, Lincoln, would believe in a deity. Face it, that statement was as dumb as anything Ms. Da
