Funny, I'd say Ingvie is at or near the top of the heap for technique (and speed) but I think Slash plays with alot more feeling. I also never cared for Yngwie's tone. To me it sounds pretty much the same and though he is impressive to watch I don't like listening to his music - where as I love old GNR.

If you don't play with a wah-wah you won't here it but he use one alot to create much of his tone. You can MOD any wah to limit the traditional effect and make it work more as a gain and tone boost. I have a Dunlop GCB-95 that has been "worked". Being able to shift your gain up and down while shred'n helps blend the notes while increasing the attack. I use it in 90% of my lead's to give them that screaming tone YJM has. BTW... The DOD308YJM makes a great door stop. USE A BOSS BD-2.
