What he did with DM (Speak & Spell) and Yazoo (Upstairs at Eric's + You And Me Both) was magnificent. His work with Andy Ball (Erasure) wan't bad either.
He was a true master of his time...and those records will always have a special place in my heart. He made the 80's memorable imo :)

The best Yazoo-Song of all and one of my favourites of the 80's.I would call it a "Dance-Synthieballad",this wonderful melancholic Melody powered by Alison Moyets emotional Soulvocal and guided by a real good rhythm.Vince Clarc is really the master of Synthiepop.
