Given the state of the science a skeptic (especially one that does not have a grasp of this complex issue) does in fact REJECT the best science available.

You're certainly wrong about the fed. gov. and population control. If properly put to use the fed. gov. can be an affective tool for maintaining a sustainable population. Currently, depending on who you read, the earth's carrying capacity has been exceeded or will soon be. This is much too larg
e a job for local and/or state gov. to deal with. Know anything about economies of scale and redundancy? :-)
