grimmpoxer, you're right CC&theLPA rock....and Bill Kirchen is an amazing guitar player...he still tours- seen him 4 or 5 times, always a great show and he hangs out after signing autographs and posing for pictures...nice fella....

And Andy Stein is now on Prairie Home Companion. Basically I thnk the genius of this band was their ability to appreciate and integrate many music genres. Not to mention they were great to dance to aka Long Branch 1970's.

--was lucky to be at the Armadillo to experience these guys a couple of times, watched them record the "Live" album--lastly, at the "Last Bash"--best show band EVER--Billy C played air guitar on an old Gibson with no strings--I was gloriously stoned--what a memory
