Hello. I had that problem too, but I don't know what to really fix it. I just reinstalled Vegas.
You can try to download the latest version of DivX (codec) and update Sony Vegas (7.0e or 8.0b). PM me if you still have some problems.

Kind of annoying to convert every clip. Do you lose quality when you convert?
Anyways, you can just try what I said, perhaps it works for you too. .avi with DivX-codec is the most common on the internet.

Well, consider my work compared with lots of others made by Windows Movie Maker I belive that it is a bit better. The syncing should be pritty good, not 100% but not THAT bad. Try to download it, youtube sometimes fucks it up. As I wrote earlier, this is my 1st AMV, so it IS amature.
