Plus the fact that the people are hating on her when most of them probably can't sing the whole thing WITHOUT an audience, let alone in key. The best part is when people helped her out. If anything, this should have been an inspirational video. People just want to feel like they're better Americans by saying nasty things about a girl who just messed up.

No kidding man! I swear there are dumb people out there. They should make it mandatory to learn and sing the national anthem along with everyone! A TRUE American would jump in and sing along just because theyre proud! I would jump in and sing if i were anywhere when they played the anthem. I support my troops and my husband for letting this song to continue on! Learn the song and sing it for them! lol till they all come home! HOOAH

She was singing beautifully until her nerves got the best of her! Give her a break, I'm sure she'd rehearsed the song at least a hundred times, it's different when you're in front of thousands of people doing something so personal and vulnerable as singing.

Yes, you speak the truth... Also note the fact that this is an a capella. Hearing NOTHING but your own voice can make the hairs stand up on the back of your neck, (in the not so good way). I am a singer and on occasion I have totally blanked out on lyrics that I KNOW like breathing. Sometimes it just happens. It happens to ALL performers at one time or another. What sets the amateurs apart from the pros is how fast you handle the situation, and ultimately, how fast you can recover from it.
