Yeah, I think that PJ, AIC, and Soundgarden aren't/weren't really grunge; AIC and Soundgarden (more often AIC) are sometimes called metal. Grunge is shit like Nirvana. This is Rock N' Roll. Pearl Jam and Def Leppard (in differant ways), I think, were the most Zeppelin-inspired bands.

Grunge was more than just a sound, it was a movement. Jerry Cantrell will tell you that AIC was a "blues based rock band". Nirvana is given the credit for developing grunge, yet soundgarden, another well known grunge band, had been around for years before Nirvana graced the stage. Whatever you want to call the different sounds of the different bands, one thing stands true: they were all part of the "grunge" movement, and they all are truly amazing in their own ways. This music will never die.
