that was good, i love Sam Cooke's music too. And i think the night he was killed nobody meant to kill him, but it turned out the way. I don't think Sam Cooke was trying to rape nobody, they just made that up because they didn't want to go to jail. And since it was the early 1960s the police didn't do a good enough investigation like they would with a white singer. Good performance and song.

Sam didn't rape anyone, he was being robbed by the hooker he went to the hotel with and the hotel manager it was a setup, the lady who shot him had time to think and consider her actions and she meant to do it. she could have gotten him help as he was still alive for a bit but the police, who weren't too keen on hurrying to a bad area of town esp a black one drug their feet and he died. damn shame
