i'm white and have dated a Pacific Islander, an Chinese guy, a black guy, a Puerto Rican, two indians, a Peruvian, & two white guys the gay community, at least up in nyc and the northeast is a non-issue. i'm not saying that all gays are not-racist, but the stigmas attached to race seem to be MUCH less in our community than with straight people. i think there is a commonality in our specific discrimination that we see as affecting every nationality. gays really seem to celebrate diversity. peace

like u said..... i am sure there are some gay people who are prejudice... but they can better understand the struggle to be treated equally... because they are hated for the same reason... which is their difference!

i have certainly come across specific individuals who have prejudices, & it is the one thing i cannot tolerate. i cannot tolerate any minority, who faces discrimination, to discriminate against another-that is the epitome of ignorance. the problem with prejudices, is that we all face it, some DEFINITELY more than others..but its amazing how many people out there who feel some level of it, will then turn around & perpetuate it. our differences ARE our similarities-which i find the most beautiful

Other people don't have a say on who you date.
I don't think it has to do with nationality or race. It's all about charachter. There are hyper blacks, shy blacks, studious, slackers. Same in all other races. If you connect with the kind of character that you find appealing. voila!

Thanks for your comment. I understand exactly what you mean.... it can be hard to do that sometimes... but I know you are correct in saying that we should bypass the interracial dating talk and just see humans. I am doing that now... but only in the last few months...

The worst relationship I had was with the White one....we lived in a very REDNECK town, and I belive our relationship ended because he grew tired of defending our relationship in public. Black ppl assumed I was with him for the money, and White ppl thought he lost his mind (he was a businessman). I am now glad we are dun b/c Im upset he let the pressure break him.....
Colour/Race isnt an issue in the Caribbean where I am from, but it surely is here in the states, esp here in the Atlanta area
