I agree-this dude IS cold. This is my favorite Face joint. Like I posted with "Azone1", this song came out no later than 1989, or at least late 1988-for sure. I remember because it was around the time I got married.

I think you're referring to the re-worked cd of Lovers with a different cover (near the fireplace with a processed fade) from the 1986 original (he was wearing a purple suit and was surrounded by baloons....no wonder why he re-worked the cover art). If you see the video for "I Love You Babe", you will see that according to Babyface's jherri curl (same one he had when he was with the Deele), the clip was in late 1986 or early 1987. Babyface had a fade in 1989.

I believe you're right about 1987 Azone01, because I graduated from High school in 1986. This was my absolute favorite jam-played in heavy rotation when it came out. I would have added it to that highschool sound track we all have in our minds. Thanks for breakin' it down, Azone01.
