Shaved Pussy - Persian Cat getting shaved
Uploaded by: vonfluffenstein
Video Description:
Princess Janelle is finally losing all her precious fur... she was getting so matted! All the knots are gone now though and she
´s a MINIATURE LION! :D The vet did this under sedation, but even so she *still* growled and twitched when we touched her paws... She HATES being groomed to the point that I have to wear a protective glove because she bites, scratches and screams down the whole neighbourhood, and there are certai
n places I cannot comb her at all, like under her arms or on the inside of her legs, her tail or round her belly, because she struggles so much and pulls her legs up etc. I thought it was best for both of us to get her shaved so she doesn´t have to go through the "brush torture" every single day..
. A small demonstration of what she´s like being groomed is here: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=UseA_GIeEq4

´s also a link to another video to understand the reasons - incidentally, I just had her shorn again for the summer. She is not actually bald and shaved, she just has very very short fur! :)
looks good
´t take long, and she looks even cuter when she has about 2 cms of curly persian cat fur - I wish it could stop growing right at that point LOL. She had an injection to sedate her btw, otherwise she would have gone ballistic. The vet refuses to shave cats without sedation anyway because they ten
d to panic and get aggressive at the noise and the feel of the shaver...
´s 40 Degrees Centigrade here! :)
´t let her brush them out! If they´re proper mats, then it´s not possible to brush them out and it will be so painful for your cat (imagine trying to brush out proper dreadlocks? Same thing - not possible!). If your cat is calm enough you need to either *cut* them out with a rounded end pair o
f scissors (not pointed, too dangerous!) or BETTER, do take her to a groomer or vet to do this. If there are a LOT of mats, it´s best to get her shorn, like I had done with Nelly....
´s better to let a professional do it if it´s quite bad, they will probably do the cutting out of the mats or shearing under sedation, so the cat won´t get agitated while doing it. :) Good luck.
´s sometimes not easy to see where skin starts and fur/mats end, so you would risk cutting your cat accidentally. Just take her to the vets to be totally on the safe side! :) As for the lion cut, it doesn´t have to be a lion cut, they can cut the tail fur off completely if you like - however, th
e face and paws are usually left a little longer cause they´re difficult to do.
