Not really. Moebius was voiced by Richard Doyle. Baal was voiced by Richard Barnes (credited as Milton James).

Damn, I really wish the rest of the story lived up to this intro. There could have been so many posibilities, but instead The Wanderer just transforms into Diablo and Marius chickens out and runs away. The end, basically :(

That's what's so cool you jackass. Wow. The whole point was hero from part 1 turns into villain from part 2, he never won. Man kids today. What a fucking joke, seriously. I have no hope in this generation. AMerica will come in second place because of them

First of all, I'm Canadian, not American.
Second of all, I had no problem with the hero becoming the villain. I'm cool with that. I just don't like how the story was told. The problem is that it "just" happens. There's really no drama or anything interesting. The intro was so well made and intruiging (imo) that it made me expect tha
t a cool story would unfold. But nothing happens. There's never any explanation for why Diablo beconed Marius to follow him, and the story events unfold...

...without too much interest or excitement.(except for the Diablo-Tyrael fight). After that it's just this: The warrior succumbs to Diablo. Marius chickens out. Baal kills Marius. The End.
I know, it's just a video game, despite that I thought the intro was a good kick-off for the game as well as an interesting bit of story-telling which the rest of the game didn't live up to.

Marius' main role is the narrator of the story. Diablo kept him around because he knew he could the one to release Baal, Marius was never aware any of them were demons until it was too late. FYI, Marius never had to follow Diablo at all if he wanted too, he merely felt compelled.

"...from that moment we travelled together, east. always into the east..." after so many years it still sends shiver up my spine. the opening cinematic from diablo 2 is one of the best pieces of fantasy art ever. it crossed the border where cgi was a nice gimmick to serious art.
