I'm 18 years old and have been driving trucks since I was 16, I currently drive a Air brake Heavy wrecker in my state. I'm hoping to go OTR when I turn 21, I was curious If some company's allow a Spouse or friend travel with you.. As I have a GF that would like to come along for the travels. |

| jrhgeh2008 several things you need to do to avoid being harrased by dot keep a clean truck! Its hard but try to show you are making a effort. A clean dash. a clutered dash looks bad in my eyes and to the dot. Try to wear decent clothing and look clean it can be hard to do but it will keep law inforcement off your back. These just are my opions but a clean truck inside and out and a clean shave have goten me out of trouble before |

| @54goonie You change gears when your RPM's are in the appropriate range. But, as you drive more you learn to switch gears just by ear. Double clutching is tough at first, but you'll get the hang of it. I'm guessing you know what it is, but if you don't: You press the clutch as your switching out of gear, and press it again as your passing through neutral and into the next gear. |
