Man you really helped me out cus i didnt have a clue on wat each hole was in weight but i still dont quite get how moving the tandems back puts more weight on the drive and less weight off the tandems and the steer and i also dont get how moving the tandems closer to the drive takes weight off the drive and and puts more weight on the tandems and more weight on the steer???? If you would please explain that to me or anybody else who could answer my question

ok the stop bar trick is kinda cool i just make marks in the gravel! one inche of travel
is equel to 100 to 120 pounds of weight!
so one foot of travel is equel to 1200 pounds .
If you have a 14000 front axle you can carry 12320 on your front xle and 34000 on your drives and tandems

@metaltech5356 That depends on the make of trailer! 200-400 is typical. distance between holes is the main factor.

Dont they have some type of jet engine which when fired will remove 20,000 pounds or so? I saw that on a BJ & the Bear episode.

Steer axle weight changes when you move your 5th wheel slider ,foreward to increase or back to decrease (12,500 lbs max) and if you weigh with low or empty feul tanks remember to add 8 pounds per gallon to your drive axle weight when you feul up and at least 200lbs to your steer axle (varies with tractor model and wheelbase)
