a "copy" guitar is just as the name implies, it is a copy of an established model by a large brand, e.g. a copy of a Gibson Les Paul. "Standard", "Studio", "Custom"-these are lines of the Les Paul guitars. Each has different features and prices.

Aboodikillakali(if I got that right)...you really have to check them out to see what you like. I am hearing great things about the Traditional and not the 08 Standard. I tried them both and prefer the Traditional. I did not like the new neck on the 08 Standard

im pretty new to guitar and im having trouble understanding what "seting up " the guitar means?
a "set up" involves ... ( 1 day ago by dmedicFF)
a "set up" involves adjusting the neck straightness, bridge height, pickup height, new strings if needed, and some will oil the board and polish the guitar before handing it back to you...more involved setups include adjusting the nut and doing any needed fretwork. A really good shop will do at least a basic setup when you buy a guitar
if your guitar is ... ( 1 day ago by dmedicFF)
if your guitar is not "feeling right" chances are a good setup is needed. They are "set up" to the individual player's preference. Guitars off the rack are set up to the factory specs-in other words just enough to make it playable to try it out. Most guitar players learn to do setups themselves, its really not that hard, and its free vs. paying a shop 45-60 dollars to do it.
if you buy a guitar ... ( 1 day ago by dmedicFF)
if you buy a guitar, ask them to do a setup on it. This should be FREE and not additional cost. They will ask you how you want the neck and bridge...if you are not sure tell them you want the neck as straight as possible and the bridge low with minimal buzz-thats usually how most players want it. Also-lots of vids on YouTube and other sites to teach you how to do this stuff yourself

i have an epiphone and its got grovers, but it gets out of tune if bend the strings too hard. it doesnt get out of tune alot..just a little, but its still annoyin. help
One of the most ... ( 1 day ago by xuworldent)
One of the most important parts of a set-up is adjusting the guitar's intonation... moving the bridge saddles forward or back so the guitar plays in tune in all positions. Each string needs to have the proper scale length in order for the guitar to be playable.

a chambered les paul is such a waste! buy the classic or a custom shop, or traditional. the standards are basically an acoustic version of a real solid body gibson les paul- yes some are weight relived with a few drill holes but the chambered les paul isnt a true solid body by any means, tone killed hollowed out wussy pussy hunk of gibson waste!! gibson should be ashamed of thier self! and for those who want lighter guitar---- dig that sand out of your mangina, and grow a set.....
Just because one ... ( 9 hours ago by xuworldent)
Just because one guitar sounds different from another doesn't necessarily mean that one sounds good and the other sounds horrible. They just sound DIFFERENT!
