Video Description:
One of the arias of Zaide, from Mozart's opera of the same title performed by the charming (and in this aria, a little scary... lol) Diana Damrau. The photos are from her last concert in G
ünzburg, Germany, except for the first one, which was taken while she was singing the 'Glitter and be gay' last year in FIFA 06 ("3 Orchester und Stars"). I know the last ones don't fit the character of the singing, but I just love them and I wanted them in. Any complaints? lol I hope you like it ^
^ By the way, if I were you, I'd be careful with having the volume too loud. Just in case lol

Well, of course you are LOL Yesterday I found out that she's just finished a new CD!!!!!!! I guess you didn't know because, ahem, as [I] am her biggest fan, I was looking for stuff about her in German. Ahem LOL I found it in amazon DOT de. Look for it, because there's a video... Everything is in German, but you won't have problems to understand how the web works. I'm so excited I've found another Diana fan! YAY! ^^

She's fabulous as Zaide ! still the CD is a big sh*t with the interpolated comments between the musical tracks, it totally breaks the rythm.

It's true, I don't like that either, but I understand why it was done. Those spoken bits were meant to tell the story between the arias as the opera was not being performed; it was just a concert version of the actual opera. Although they do break the rythm, they are necessary. Well, they would be if I understood German lol

I do speak German, and none of it is really necessary, the story telling is miserable. To me it looks more like "hum, well, how do we fill 2CDs so we can make more money", it's a disgrace to the work itself, sounds like texte explanation, which is bad, because the singing and the music are truly fabulous.
BTW, I'm a 200% Diana fan and if i'm lucky, I'm gonna have dinner with her in january 2008 ^^
