Mega Man X2 100% in 40:21 - Part 1

How this run was recorded: Using the Record AVI function of Snes9x 1.502. This run is not tool assisted in any way, meaning there's no slowdown, save states, or anything you can't do on the console.
Comments: This run was silly. I made a bajillion stupid little mistakes and tiny little detours because I don't really know how to run this game. Whatever! It's still a decent run. I did a few experiments as well... most of them didn't turn out too well. Stage comments: Wire Sponge: I did okay h
ere. Maybe I could have gotten the subtank faster, but I don't really care. I didn't take a hit this stage. On the boss, I did poorly. He is just so random, and I kept missing shots. Wheel Gator: Again, an okay run. I took an unnecessary hit or two, but overall my time wasn't bad. My individual lev

i've only gotten the arm upgrade with the strike chain, like, twice and i've always had to wait until i have the arm and the fire attack before i could get the heart in the tank stage...

uhh dont get wat u mean but if u mean what this was originaly for it was for the snes/super nintendo then when the playstation 2 came they did mega man x collection with mega man x 123 from snes and x 456 from the psx

Does X2 still have the property that when you are dashing, your X-buster does double damage? I mean, it seems like you were beat wire sponge pretty quick for not having his weakness. That, or you're a hacker. :O J/k. Nice work here.
