I'll admit that wars tend to bring the world "forward" but might I remind you that peace also brings the world "forward". It's impossible to go back in time, for now anyway. Yes, wars bring technology that may never have been invented otherwise, but socially, they are worthless. Sure, wars can bring a country out of recession, but at the price of many people's lives. War is hell, and this war is fucking stupid. Unfortunately, we can't just leave Iraq, or the country will fall apart.

go read My men are my heros, it tells 3/1's story about taking falujia specificaly about First seargen Brad Kasal who was shot 7 times then roaled on top of another marine when a grenade came through the door, then refused medical treatment untill his fellow marines were treated, he is a true hero as are all our fighting men wether it be marines army air force or navy.
