OK...I have to admit...I'm a huge Phish fan and discovered the Heads via several covers done by Phish. This is by far the most dark, bone-chilling jam I have heard by far of any band. Absolutely brilliant!! I would have been almost 1 year old when this live version occurred. Thank God for video...I was born in the wrong generation...I know several of you feel the same way. This show is absolutely fantastic!!!

I still remember the first time I heard this song in maybe 1982 on a little Panasonic portable tape recorder. I'd never heard anything like it before. Even through just a little transistor speaker it completely blew me away. This is the first time I have ever heard let alone seen a live version and the years are rolling back. They sound just as fresh today as they did then and this live version is exactly what I had imagined for 26 years. <3

I think one of the things that works best about this particular song is that we really see how the core band of David, Jerry, Chris and Tina is being augmented by the additional players rather than being perhaps overshadowed by them. The core band are very much in charge of this song, Jerry in particular who we can actually hear & see for a change.
