if you could avoid it. But we couldn't. Such is married life. Besides, Mom was the one with keys to the cabin.

fact for fact...u guys r arguing over something small. if its WRC its about time Subaru got the hint that the impreza is no longer competitive and i reckon they should think about bring back the legacy for WRC's as it was prior to the 1993 impreza. as a road car this one aint bad... WRC useless, slow and the drivers H8 it. Bring back the Legacy for that job

Is the Corvette Chevy's customer base? Is the Evo Mitsubishi's base? Is the Charger SRT Dodge's base? Perhaps their looks don't matter? There was over $10,000 in parts added to my STI, besides the wing. If a wing was all I needed, I would have stuck one on a Honda, and called it good. But looks are still important. Roseanne Barr can talk, cook, and love just as much as Jessica Alba. Who would you rather date? Remember how you think looks are unimportant the next time an ugly girl asks you out.

Yes, looks are important, but it's also subjective. I could easily say the new Hatch looks WAAAY better than the older GDB Sedan as well.... What is NOT subjective is the car's amazing performance at the track. BTW, the Vette and Charger SRT are not homologation specials, and the EVO no longer competes in the HATCH DOMINATED WRC. If it did, I doubt it will be competitive. As for your analogy, OF COURSE I'd pick Alba. But in my perspective, Alba is the STi Hatch, and Barr is the older Sedan.

For those arguing that the new subaru is for WRC purposes....WRC don't make subaru money...However the new shape does as it will sell to a wider range of people. So, bassicly seems like subaru sold out for the $. Can't blame them but meh. Shinobi, yes it subjective, and i don't understand the prob

WRC doesn't make Subaru money, and NEITHER does the STi to any significant amount. Most of their financial gains are in selling Legacys, Outbacks, base model Imprezas, and Tribecas... WRC is Subaru's forte, and if switching to a Hatchback makes them more competetive for it, then good for them. BTW, the "men's" 2006 car couldn't keep up with Ford and Citroen's girly hatchbacks in WRC, so they had to switch lol

im alright the looks i guess..but god change the rear lights..they look like cheap OEM knockoffs...im waiting till i see some projector lights for the new sti...might change my mind even more

Lol na i know what your saying ;) But the normal wrx, and lesser non turbo models did make subaru money...and the shape and overall feel was part of the buy for many buyers.
Question for ya ;) What would you rather then 2006 "mens car" or one of those girl Ford and Citroen hatchbacks while driving the streets. Hehehe, cmon you know you wanna say it ;)

Honestly, IF Ford and Citroen offered road-going versions of their WRCcars complete with 2.0L Turbo and AWD, I'd would consider them over a 2006 GDB STi. Unfortunately, Ford and Citroen don't offer AWD Turbo Hatchbacks in the US, so I'd have to pick the 2006 "mens car" out of necessity for something faster. Luckily Subaru has Petter Solberg. He's the guy to blame for the platform change lol It just so happens I liked Hatchbacks better, so I got a GR instead of a GD ;p Thank you Petter lol

The STi itself is not a homologation special like the narrator says. as long as there is a hatch impreza in Subaru's lineup, they can enter a racecar

The GRB STi is a "Group N" Homologation car. Mainstream WRC (formerly Group A) only requires the Impreza, like Ford's Focus and Citroen's C4/Xsara...

got mine in April, didn't like the looks at first but grows on ya! I got a stage 2, turbo back exhaust, and intake, oh man its a beast!! Got coil overs on the way too, running dirty low!!!
