By the way my 4 door saloon, which costs less than 40k new, parts and labor, pulled on a bolt on 997 turbo today :)

BMW was more stable & generally easier to drive. Both are great cars, but a bmw is just bland by comparison
Porsche is more agile, more efficient, and a lot more fun.

Most people that buy a Porsche are people that want a "drivers car," and sacrifice a lot of luxury for it. People that buy Mercedes-Benz want luxury. People that buy Audi want pure luxury wrapped around sporty-ness. The only people who drive BMW's are jews, lawyers and doctors, mid-life crisis
guys, those that think it's high-end luxury. Then you have the younger stereotype audience in the M3, thinking it's a some sort of amazing supercar.
