One of the reasons for our declining living standard is the ever-increasing TAX BURDEN that we're saddled with. The government is irresponsible, spends our money like drunken sailors, causes massive debt and all sorts of problems, then wants more of our money to create new agencies to fix the pro
blems that they created.
Why does the middle class have to only consist of unionized factory workers? I'm middle class, but I went to college and now run my own vending business. My dad is middle class and he's an Architect, my brother is middle class and works at a car auction. It's time for people to stop counting on
the union gravy train and make their own opportunies instead.
What exactly is your point? So far you haven't made any. All you've done is hint that we need to outlaw companies from outsourcing. If we do that, we no longer have a free market system.
My uncle was paid a lot of money for being nothing more than a stupid high-school graduate with a lousy work ethic. So yes, there was a union gravy train in America for decades, but the train has crashed. Boo hoo.
Also, how is it fair and just that a single man with no kids (like myself) is forced to pay the same property taxes as my next door neighbor who has 5 fucking kids in the school system?! Don't give me the tired BS argument for socialism, how is improves society, helps me in the long run, blah bla
h.
So, you don't have to be a genius to see how unions create a culture of laziness and mediocrity by rewarding unproductive behavior.
If I have zero kids, then I get nothing for my money, understand? It's not my responsibility to raise other peoples' kids, and educating a kid is part of raising a kid.
Ok, just to recap...youre an "entreprneur" and you think workers who want a better life are lazy people who have no ambition, and you feel that you shouldnt have to support our society with your tax contributions. YOU are whats wrong with America. How selfish can you be?
If it's my responsibility to pay for the education of all children, then why stop there? Let's force everyone to pay for food, clothing, daycare, Flintstone vitamins, shoes, etc. Kids need many things to turn out right, so where does it end? You can take that same flawed justification for publi
c schools and apply it to anything.
The answer isn't to remain the same stupid lazy bum you always were, and extort more pay from a company or else you'll strike.
My philosophy is that if you can't afford to raise a kid (which includes educating that kid!) then don't make a baby. I'm 40 and have managed to stay child-free, so I know it's not hard to do. If you subsidize irresponsible behavior, you get more of it.
