Why do the Scandinavians get all the cool weapons and Americans get stuck with the boring ones? Oh well, fuck you guys, we still have the ac-130 gunships.

Heh. does it make you feel better if I would say that the Swedish pretty much Supply everything to you? on another note.. thease wepon systems were never originally intended for the U.S. use in the first place. this is the "raw" stuff.

I've seen this while I was doing my military service in during the spring of 2001 I believe it was. Pretty cool. Then it was mounted on a STRF90 base, had some issues so I would imagine it to have been during early testing stages. Would've loved to have served on one of these instead of the swedish m40 mortar.
One upside to my time in the military was that we got to shoot the STRIX grenades for it. Self-aiming 120mm rounds, sweet stuff...

STRIX granades.. might have been sweet indeed. How was the hit percent those days? did you have moving targets for the STRIX?

Well, 50/50 hitrate... But the targets werent really warm enough for the grenade to find them. And no, only stationary targets, old used up tanks. But it was pretty sweet to shoot STRIX...

Who the fuck said it takes hour? "No one" is the answer. Could you fucking idiot turn your brain on (if you have one) and THEN comment. Well looks like you can't. It takes about 10-20 seconds from the smoke to spread depending on the wind. In this video it was cutted to people don't have to watch this "very interesting movement" when smoke spreads. Don't drink too much vodka before posting comments.

ah yes. Thats true. ... ( 4 days ago by johanonperkele)
ah yes. Thats true. You Swedes have had the time to "master the art". But still, without Finnish input there wouldn't be such things as Viggen or the following technical achevements in Swedish aviation in the actual scale we see them today. This applies to all weaponry you make. We don't construct all the stuff we use. nor do you. It would be plainly stupid to waste resources to the things which can be aquired from your country. and viceversa from mine.. when the interests are mostly the same.
