Wtf! Why is everyone hating on Maria, she's was doing what she was supposed to do. Which was win the match. Its not like Maria cursed her. During Wimbledon 07 Serena callapsed and Hantuchova started playing "nice". Personally I think Maria and daniela both did the right thing. However, I think Hantuchova regretted not jumping in on the opportunity.

it's pretty obvious..she didn't even go over to see how Tati was. but that's my opinion, maybe some people find what maria did acceptable.

i bet if she would have done it some people would say it was only half-hearted and so on.
maria did the right thing, she warmed up and kept focussed on the match that did go on after the injury break. after all its still a competitive tennis match and not a kindergarten playground. but after the match maria was kind and you see that she cared about golovin. funny how everyone except tatiana tries to make maria look bad, they even watched a game together after that.

It's emotionally heartrenching for any serious athlete to suffer an ankle injury like this. Not only will she be in shock, but she'll be faint, nauseous and totally in disbelief at her bad luck. The least Sharapova could have done was go over and console her. Totally bad sportsmanship by Sharapova. She wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire!

Everyone loves to hate Sharapova--commentators included--but you're ignorant to the fact that Sharapova and Golovin are FRIENDS. Much goes on behind the scenes that fans can't possibly understand. How do you know that Golovin isn't the kind of girl who would prefer Maria just let her receive treatment and not get in her face when she's trying to assess the situation? I know when I get injured and I'm crying I don't want everyone flocking to me, making a spectacle of the affair. Chill out.

Oops! I commented before I finished watching. I DO give her LOTS of credit for TRYING, though. I'm sure she was in unbelievable pain. :(
