I was in the paddock with the team when this happened. Belmondo team did not want to pay for the tires, since he owes already so much money to the tire makers no one was willing to give him some decent ones. He ended up with a low cost prototype from pirelli that just blew up. Its a shame such people can invest so much money in a LMP2 chassis and then just save on an important thing like tires.
