Hi untel nick this driver is also for the 945, no i can play FAR CRY!! :) but..... its the only game with Pixel shader 2.0 that runs, the other still dont work Who knows something about how to support Vertex Shader and T&L in the 945 with the new driver?

My laptop has this Gpu.. makes me proud to know that it should play these games.. but doesn't. Its got huge potential but its still not compatible with BF2 and COD4 for me.. I have managed to get superb results in 3DMARK06 I tested the pixel shader 3 test and get 6 fps on 1280x700!!! its a great chip.. Plz intel bring out the new drivers!!! Cya

Well, my brother just got this chip in his laptop and I was surprised when games like COD4 and Bioshock (not as surprised) wouldn't work! So I fucked off the whole day trying to figure out how to get them to work. I found that there are some beta drivers for x3100 that support vertex data. I'd try these (I haven't yet). Also, vista was my next-worst problem [hard to get drivers to install >:( ].

I bought an Intel DG965RY motherboard from a local shop almost a year ago and assembled it.I soon realized that the driver CD was not that effective on my hardware.

and I wasn't even able to play half life smoothly and the frame rate was like a 1940's movie.I had to replace the motherboard a 3 times because it crashed and never swithed on.Plus the JUMPERS OVERHEATED and failed to function.Soonafter I watched this video I went to the intel site and downloaded the latest drivers and now she's running WAY better.

The graphics looked washed out so they've lowered the settings.
It is still a slide show with the latest driver. Maybe I need the $1000 CPU. Woot! People who know - dont buy intel integrated.

I really could've sworn this graphics card was weaker than the stock garphics card that game with my old Asus desktop PC from the year 2001! I got an Inspiron 1525 with this card and I returned it to Dell. I can see Intel is improving the drivers, but like it gonna really boost visuals up THAT high...

This IGP should run farcry at 50 or so but cause of these stupid drivers it's 20 or so..
PLEASE CREATE SOME NEW SIMPLE GOOD DRIVERS...
I can't play AOE3 because this IGP laggs when a ship shoots.. There are only some few simple particles but that IGP calculates them wrong.. and using DX7-8 there is a lagg with the particles.. the same thing. Few particles will give you a real lagging experience. And those particles don't even look good.. they look like big colored boxes..

I think that farcry is using particles to handle the water waves. So I don't wonder that it's lagging when water is using high settings.. And the texture calculator is a little bit bad too... Calculates too much texture stuff so it gives a bad performance...

I have an Intel X3100 in my laptop and a GeForce 8600 GT in my computer. There's definitely a difference in performance and graphics, but the X3100 plays some games very smoothly. I can play Half-Life 2 with quite a few settings on high and maintain an extremely playable frame rate.

I really think this is fake. my crappy intel GMA 965 can't play Far cry all on low in the jungle in a big firefight above a framerate of approx 10. however, here everything appears to be on high and the framerate is at least 30 fps. same for bf2. some1 plz reply and help me with this problem if it is fake or not.

Have you updated Drivers? Apparently for such a small highly tuned chipset, drivers make all the difference on performance. Maybe turn down the resolution, this chipset was probably made with small laptops screens (1280x800) in mind. Otherwise, spam Intel for answers, I've got the same set-up and will be trying it out with some early 2000's games.

no matter what intel does, integrated graphics will never be as good as stand alone. even the 8600GT is magnitudes better than this piece of shit.
