Know what?? I'm a Canadian and Canada is a great country. But ya know what else?? The States is the best country in the world. It's done more for the world than any other country ever. Ever. I'm 60 years of age, was born in 1948, get that?? Three years after WW2 when the Allies with the aid of the States kicked the axis ass and saved the Western World. I remember how things were in the 50's when people still had respect for each other as well as their country's. America be proud, be proud.

hey, some disturbed unit had posted a comment (since removed for suggesting graphic torture of RN) that suggested RN is a talentless hack (to put it mildly) but offered no one in RN's place as an exemplar of "talent." I was setting him straight. That was my point.

Good question. If the gunman was in the wrong (like a thug invading my home and threatening death or submission, for example) yes, I would defend myself. Would it be okay for a police officer to kill me if I ran into the PD with guns blazing? I think that would be killing myself. Your right though. I should have said: "It is not okay to kill anyone, unless it is Blatantly obvious that it is the right thing to do." Personally though, I'd rather die than kill someone.

Thanks for the clarification. I think it's moral to kill in self-defense. Wars can be waged in self-defense, although, obviously, not all are.

Being greedy? If you are talking about capitalism, It is what has allowed us to kick the world's ass for a century. As for communism, it didnt work, and socialism, It is currently failing in europe and canada. So if greed is the cost of success, I will weather it, because things will eventually even out in the end. They always do.

the book is called animal farm by orwell. China has only had success in the past couple years, because it pushed away communism, and opened up to trade. The people of china will never really be free to trade until the gov't steps out completely. Communism doesnt work, because there is no incentive. In communism where everybody recieves the same income, you have no drive to work harder, when you know there is no way your income will increase, or living conditions will get better.
