I was driving from California to Colorado to be with him. I called 1/2 there and my Mom told me he was gone. I've loved hearing this song ever since. Thanks for posting it, and thanks to Mike and the Mechanics for creating it!

Had this played at my Dad's funeral. It was so special to him because of the distant relationship and emotionless one he had with his Father. Reminds me of how lucky I was to have such a close special relationship with my Dad. Love you forever Dad, you were taken so soon from me but I'll make you proud xxxx

This was my brother's favorite song. Shortly before my dad died in 1992, he told my brother that this song was special because it reminded him of their relationship. Kaare became a Mike and the Mechanics convert, blasting the song on his car stereo and singing LOUD and CLEAR. My brother passed away last year. This will always be a tear jerker.
