I used to love Marilyn Manson. then he made the Golden Age Of Grotesque, and shit started to go bad. Marilyn Manson was so dark and clever, and then he made this fun album about vaudeville nonsense. GOAG was great, musically, but his lyrics no longer had substance or real passion. Now he's singing about girls and vampires? He's a goth cliche. I miss the Manson who rejected the "goth" label, because he had a message about American society and religion, and it transcended any sort of subculture.
