At first I was taken aback by being called a nigga (I'm from trinidad too), but after being exposed to ppl who tlk like dat more and more i realised u cud be black, indian, chinee, syrian bein called nigga has to do wit d microculture of the person who called u it. With all dat said i still don't say it bcuz it is a very heavy word with a lot of pain from our history attached to it. Yet when I am called it by friends I understand its not derrogatory and don't trip on dem.
