Better that that-Google "EEStor" Coming soon I hope. Unlimited cycles. No degradation from 100% discharges. Five minute charges possible. If it becomes a reality, sell your Oil stock. The lack of noise is an issue. If people drive responsibly then it will be fine, and given the limited numbers it shouldn't cause too many issues. However, if this were mass produced and affordable it probably would need a noise maker or something. US drivers suck so I'd at least want an audible warning before they run me over and kill me. I don't know the answer to that issue.

Sadly the impaired sighted relying on seeing dogs can't do this and it would be nice to have some audible warning on blind corners. Just think of how much extra care you need to take when walking around town with the iPod on.

we built an electric truck in school over 10yrs ago... it could smoke the tires and do over 100mph but it would use its juice quickly... we governed it at 80mph and it could go 250miles on a charge, and cost about $10,000 in parts... gas was like 90cents at the time so no-one really payed any attention to it... im paying over $600 a month in gas alone.. i think im gonna have to give my old school a call and see if they have blueprints for that thing cause this is getting ridicolus..

Yes... there can be a little bit of the "long tailpipe problem" if the electricity to charge the car is from coal or gas. But even then, its well to wheel efficiency is better than just about anything on the road. *Or* you can use solar or wind and not pollute at all. That's the beauty of EVs.

this video is full of shit. its just a fucking advert for the Tesla car.... somebody needs to put this piece of crap car to the test. and electric cars won't become truly mass market until the Japanese perfect it b/c American car companies arent smart enough or good enough to make a good (keyword: good) electric car in large numbers.
