Ahead of the 40th Tokyo Motor Show (October 26 to November 11), Nissan unveils its electric-powered Pivo 2 concept car. Designed for urban use, the Pivo 2 features a 360-degree revolving cabin, inherited from the first-generation Pivo, allowing the driver to always face forward while driving, even when parallel parking, and to access the unique front door from any direction. The three-seat car is equipped with safety systems such as Around View Monitor (AVM), Distance Control Assist System (DCAS) and also a Robotic Agent that uses facial monitoring technology to interact with the driver.

I think its an awsome car dont get me wrong, but i think it proves how lazy we are to learn how to paralell park on our own, im 16, just got my permit and i had to learn to paralel park and it was easy. And the robot in the car is a little creepy

couple problems here its parrallel parking takes to much time its not just the fact that the whole thing turns but alot of people will have to wait for you to turn this ball theres a much better one being develop were its like a bike get 360 degree turns so it just slides in the parking without other people waiting for you.

haha thats great. I love the look and clear japanese style of the vehicle. I think this is the right direction for cars of the future. Reminds me a bit of futuristic space shuttle type of transportation with a cockpit and onboard computer which is interactable via voice and other inputs. Soon we wont even have to drive at all, which would make long trips a godsend.

Haha, I thought the same thing. But its there to aid you. When i was watching this on TV,The robot could tell something about your eyes. If your eyes are closing a little the robot will tell you where a nearby coffee shop is. Also mentioning a 360 ALL around turn. Which makes this car a little safer and there to be at your aid.

THis thing is so awesome. So many ideas crammed into a little bubble. It's not sporty though, so I couldn't give it 5 stars. Plus it was a little slow it it's operation. But the idea remains a good one.

I love JDM. These type of new futuristic cars are useful but i don't like them at all, they're really ugly and i don't think it could handle very good at high speeds. I'll stick with new Nissan GT-R all the way...

this car is awesome. the robot has emotion sensors. it can read your facial expressions and cheer you up if it thinks you need it. plus the car is equiped with infared tech that allows yu to change ur audio just my moving ur hands, so ur eyes arent distracted from the road. there are some fantastic ideas in this car, but id love to see how fast it runs
