Producer Timbaland rips song from finnish musician?

The producer Timbaland seems to have used a six year old song from a finish musician and used it for the song "Do it" by Nelly Furtado. Samples are CLEARED. They are USED WITH PERMISSION. This was not. It was stolen. It wasn't sampling. It was used WITHOUT PERMISSION.

It's quite clear the drums are similar and the tempo is exact, but there are literally thousands of songs that just like that. And clearly the melody is NOT the same nor even remotely similar. If there is a descrepency about infringement by Timbaland and indeed Jane Sunni feels that it warrants letigation, then it's her call or whomever owns the copyright of the song. This can not be battled on youtube, only in the courts people-if it comes to that which I doubt since it has not been brought up.

Unless you have insider knowledge of the going's on, which I highly doubt you do since you're trying to plead your/her case here, then you don't have first hand knowledge and are only making assumptions by what you're hearing, and clearly there are similiarities but nothing that should warrant legal action. Copyright law specifically state a percent that two songs can sound similiar to one another without having them fall under the category of plagerism.

Okay ummm, I was shocked when I heard this but now that I think about it honestly who cares about if he "stole" it or "sampled" it? Get over it. If the guy wanted to sue Tim he would have but he didn't. All of you guys are still worried about this while he's making music and getting paid. partly about sampling, but mainly his total neglect to bother to clear samples and knowingly profiting off others work without paying dues... oddly notice a simular pattern, none of the music taken is from US artists, why? because they are local and it's a lot more easy to sue. Others sample, BUT have are decent enough to clear , since it's such a BIG chunk of someone elses work. Sampling 1 or 2 seconds fair enough, but the whole tune? major difference.

I honestly can't believe Timbaland would blatantly steal this chiptune with no recognition. Its one thing to be a broke ass rapper with a sampled track and not having the cash to clear the sample, but when you are have a fuckin multimillion dollar label ripping off a small time hobbyist's chiptune and dont have the decency to acknowledge his work. Geffen made millions off this record and its a shame the original musican will never see a dime of it.
