Rofl. It's funny because it's true. I would say the era of "sappiness" really hit its peak in the late 90's early 2000's, I distinctly recall when I was a bit younger it seemed every movie had this "theme" going.

The music is off for this preview. It doesn't match. Its set like a conventional film. Its probally done this way on purpose. I like the original Taxi Driver music waaay better than this.

A truely memorable film. Rocky won the oscar in the same year but it should have been this film. I'm not knocking Stallone,the first Rocky is excellent but better than this,no.

It's an old file. 1976 right? I was born in 1989. From a girl's point of view, I thought they should place some more action into the movie. When I looked at this movie for the first time, what I thought is that the movie is about a crazy guy murdered 4 people and then he dumped his girl friend. I mean, i still liked it after i knew the plot. But, it should show more of a hooker's life than a guy get mad and kills people. Just my opinion. Sarah

Maybe because you're too young(no offense) to understand the real motive behind his(Travis) action. Just live a few years more(4 years maybe?) and slipped the disc into your dvd player and I'm sure you'll appreciate it more. P.S:I think that showing more of the hooker's life is a cliche way to tell a story.(this movie reminds me of Fight Club...troubled men who cannot adapt to its environment)
