It's an amazing record and she's made a lot of them but this is one of her very best.
I am always baffled when people claim "she can't sing." This is sung with amazing intensity, the kind of whiny sob you'd expect from a knocked up teenager. The vocal is compelling and believable in a way that makes it one of her best, it's hard to imagine a "real" singer bettering (or even match
ing) this.

What are you talking about, her last record was the best, most consistent of her career overall even though I didn't care too much for "4 Minutes" or "Give it 2 Me" although they were okay. And her Confessions record is probably her second best.
She makes better albums, her earlier albums were always weighed down by terrible album tracks, especially True Blue and Like a Virgin. But the singles back then were always pie I'll admit.
