You have already ... ( 4 months ago by t4705mb6)
You have already lowered yourself...long ago and without any help from me. HUNDREDS of blacks were shot at by police on a bridge as they tried to escape the flooding. They were mostly women and children. They were shot at by police at close range from the other end of the bridge and a police helicopter sent from the neighboring white supremist town. You are a racist and a liar and unamerican. You are a bigot and a fascist. You and your ilks days are numbered.

I wish the Burmese would receive a crate of food for each one of your lies. You are clearly trying to fool us into thinking that Burmese and a bunch of looters in New Orleans suffer from a same injustice. "They were shot at by the police" said you without mentioning that those people were shooting and raping tourists, sniping relief choppers and assaulting the engineer corps working on the canal repair. Just leave america, we'll both feel better that way.

While indirectly bolstering the junta's resistance to foreign assistance, China is also shielding Burma from pressure to open up. It has led the opposition at the U.N. Security Council to proposals that humanitarian aid be authorized for Burma without the regime's consent, under the U.N. doctrine known as "responsibility to protect." Beijing also resists a milder proposal for a U.N. resolution ordering Burma to accept relief and allow rescue efforts.

Myanmar thinks they are so popular and respected. They expect help when dey need em and reject the helpers without even a thanks when they feel opposition in their reigme. What kind of govt. are they? I would rather help China then Myanmar. At lease China appreciates.

Junta should be ashamed of themselves for turning away aid from US and France. I hope they burn in hell for it
This is true. Junta ... ( 4 months ago by farfel2)
This is true. Junta has said they will allow foreign aid but I just read in the paper that they turned away more boats coming with aid. They tried many time to convince them to let them in but the answer remained no. Junta is sentencing their own people to death. They are the modern day Saddam as far as I am concerned. I tried to find Juntas website because I wanted to send a personal message to the government officials telling them how sick and twisted they are.

Lived 58 yrs, am a human rights activist & always in politics. Dad was a NASA engineer, aunt was executive with Wyman Gordon & mom @ Alden Research in MA. I met with Carter & Bob Kennedy, uncle worked for Project Blue Book, we had a summer home in Kennebunkport, Maine & knew the Walker/Bush family. My cousin married an Auchincloss (Jakie Kennedy's cousin).
It is my STRONG opinion that internationalists (world investors) run Washington & intend to cripple the USA. They are the REAL terrorists.

I didn't know it was important to give everyone your resume or drop names. Who cares. Forego the self-image booster and ask yourself what you intend to do about it. That's what's important.

Is that so? I guess you'll find out!! Yes, I sound sure. I have very good reason to be sure. Think you're immune? Think again.

IMHO, you sound like someone who is disgruntled all the time and instead of acting and making a difference, you simply complain in a country you loath, but also a country that affords you the previledge of freedom of speech. Extremism at its finest. All bark and no bite.

I suggest you read about Burma before you judge. China is a rich country but still suppresses their people. Chinese have the strength to fight back, but the Burmese are so impoverished and weak, it is nearly impossible to fight back. Although we saw their attempt recently when the monks retaliated against the junta. I've travelled there many times. It needs help...not judgement.

How facetious. Do you use a crystal ball, augury or, perhaps, radio waves through a molar?
How very fortunate for you! Having supernatural powers must really break up the dullness of being you.

You aren't making any sense. And besides, one doesn't "use" an augury. Your attempt to impress us with your vocabulary is supercilious. You pretend to be someone of liberal substance but I'm seeing that you really don't get the whole picture. Perhaps if you tear yourself from your Kinnebunkport mentality and stop preaching from your school books, and get out into the real world you could make another attempt at the perception of being profound and wise. No need to respond. I'm done.

A Burmese clarified that the Myanmar's military government is fearful that US military helicopters flying over local terrains will gain vital and precise low flight information for future invasion. Their agrument is America would also not allow similar military flights over their homeland under any guise whatsoever. To brand them heartless is just propaganda! :)

Google "U.S. Treasury - Sanctions Program Summaries - Burma" Basically the great "humanitarians" have a econoimc embargo on the country, preventing any money or construction material from entering the country, and when a storm came and inevitably blew away the un-reinforced houses there, the country that placed the embargo, without lifting it, offer their military to "help", and when the country refuse, they are accused of "not having respect for human life". Lift the sanctions? No? Disgusting

It is also very disgusting to back up the ruthless Burmese dictators too. I suggest you read more about how China and Russia are blocking the UN resolution on Burma.

You mean blocking placing more sanctions on the country? Preventing econoimc agression is what the UN is about, if China and Russia could not prevent the west from bullying defenseless countries then there will no longer be a point for the UN, that came close when China and Russia failed to punish NATO for aggression in Iraq and Afghanistan. Of course you grew up feed with western propaganda so you have an entirely twisted view of right and wrong, pity.

under 1 condition.
The more the Junta siege Ms.Aung San, the more US will ban Myanmar's Economic. the more they banned, the more people suffer. The More people suffer the happier the government be. So who win in the end? People strikes together last September, isn't it. But who won? Only innocent kids, people and monks were killed. What happenend to government? Nothing! Because US and other countries cannot attack Myanmar because it doesn't have Democracy, UN can't allow.

So my point is, why don't we study and learn modern science, culture and build our country to catch up with others?? Yeah Question, where is the source?? Who can lead, teach??? My opinion is our country's current state is in super crucial cliff. If we son's of Myanmar don't save our mother, who will? US? NATO? KAREN? THAI? Bollock! look at Iraq, Afaganistan. which country has the independence?
