Race Track Car Crash

Video Description:
In one lap the Corvette driver runs a car off track and creates a crash with another. The Red Corvette is punted in turn 12 as he turns down into traffic. You have to be aware of traffic and fast approching cars. Drivers who are not aware are a danger to themselves, other drivers and property. ADVICE: Learn how to check mirrors, be predictable, maintain your lane and do not cross into traffic.

Too me it's pretty obvious he punished him for lousy driving. Not the brightest of moves from the porsche but whatever people can't really drive. The Vette had no business on the track but the white porsche also dive bombed him. If you watch the video again you can see that the Porsche turns into the Vette instead of backing out. Bad move, lousy driving on both parts. The video overall is horrible and badly edited.

The vette was following the racing line, the vehicle with the onboard camera was carrying too much speed and straightens just before impact, indicating locked brakes. Cut and dry.

tbf, 911 was gowin too fast - and did look like he kinda could have avoided it - but didnt in order to get at the corvette - ok, the corvette did make a sudden dive for the inside, but the 911 driver cud have turned in as well, as opposed to hitting the vette

I don't know what your rules are there, but to me that's a clear cut decision. If that was racing, the blame lies squarely with the camera car. There was not room to pass. On track days over here, you either pass on the straight, or you pass when told to by the car being passed, depending on the track day organiser. The Corvette had the line, however you look at it.

The man claims the other is responsible for this.If the vette had been behind and tried to pass the Por I'd buy it. But the Por was behind. It failed passing the vette then he states that the vette forces the Por out of the track and CAUSES collision ! Had to write it to convince himself. Was a mistake, better tried to pass when he could make a real difference. Car racing is a mix of motivation fast decisions quick moves AND patience. Not anger.

it was both faults mainly the 911, i think he had some oversteer issues, but the vette should have been more aware of the 911 you cant just cut in like that if you know that a car is going to pass you but i think he didnt see the 911 the guy in the vette is not near as good of diver as the 911, watch his lines

Hermanater77 is right. It 's a race. Corvette is on the RACE LINE!!! The driver with the Porsche should be more patient. He 's not into traffic! Think like an adult and you 'll understand.

Corvette is on the racing line? For starters, it's clear the vette driver isn't sure what the line is. tvtimeframe (911) however, should have backed off 1/2 a lap to let the boob in the red vette go on. At the rate the vette was going, he would have put the rear end into a tire wall eventually.

Sorry, have to disagree. If the Porsche had gotten it's nose up along side the vette before the vette turned in, I would agree. But the Porsche was still at least 1/2 car back when the vette turned in. The Porsche was carrying too much speed and was unable to avoid. I run this track and the ve
tte's line was not unusual for that corner. P-car's fault for collision.
