I think a shaved head on the right woman can look stunning, but it's definitely not for everyone. Although is still more of a punk/fetish look I'm sure it will become more mainstream in the future.

I've had my head shaved off and on, (currently on) Since I have moderate psoriasis, and this flareup is particularly nasty, I find shaving my head clears the lesions. What I dislike is people automatically assume I'm undergoing chemo. It more or less means, "there isn't any other reason why a woman would shave their head." I do it because it feels comfortable.

To Boaterlady, Are you African-American? I, too, am 56 and I'm losing my hair. I don't want to wear a wig. I feel doing so means I'm ashamed of the natural process of aging of which losing my hair is a part. I've always had class and I feel the way my hair looks now is unsophisticated. Can you advise? Watzgood, I am White-American. Take the risk, you will appreciate your soul even that much more. I still looked very sophisticated and felt even more sexier. Have had many men, old and young, how lovely it looks. One main mitigating factor on whether this will work for you.. is the shape of your head. Honestly.

I buzzed my head about 2 weeks ago & I'm not quite comfortable with going "public." I'm not cute & 20 (60 years old here) but it is most exhilarating to hang out around the house. I went skinhead few years ago for the first time and it was great. I have now decided to buzz it a couple of millimetres from the scalp. I love it. Sure, not everyone likes bald women, but not everyone likes the same things. Do what you feel comfortable with. I'm comfortable being practically bald and I think I look damn good and that's all that matters!:)
