Kommisar how did you come to the conclusion Bruce wasnt the best? Do you base your opinion on the fact that everything and anything youve ever read about Bruce, is about how great everyone thought he was. How they belived he was in a league of his own and dont think anyone could beat him, in the ring and street. You base your belief on not thinking he was the best, because everyone who encountered him thought that he was. Sounds like a stubborn child type behaviour on your part to me.

The Gracies must be very keen on advertising. That was their whole point of existing, just to show the world a new style. They did it very well, the vids are convincing. They were famous in Brazil. Really. So they're gonna have a huge fan club following them around and taping each fight. Bruce wasn't even famous then, he came to US dirt poor. How the hell is he going to lug around a cam he can't afford for each fight?

Im sure the Gracies beat many stylists other than boxers. But they didnt beat the best. Gene Lebel is unbeaten after many fights. There is nothing to say Helio Gracie would beat Lebel at all, or is as tough as Lebel, or Bob Wall or everyone else who encountered Bruce.

Bruce said he could beat anyone. Noone challenged him, because they knew Bruce would take up the challenge at the drop of a hat if you were serious.
They waited until he died. Even though since he died noone who knew Bruce have said they could beat Bruce, there has been one individual who has perhaps said a thing or two he wouldnt have said when Bruce was alive. So it dont count. They didnt say it when Bruce was around. So it counts as a cheapshot and is irelevant. Cheap shots are easy to do.

well it seems you don't have fighting experience making you a toolbag for trying to tell other people how to fight. i do train and i fought five pure MT and three MT/MMA fighters before via campus bulletin organized fights just last year. I won all of them except one. those are not the only fights I have had.MMA and MT dont use side kick because its simply not in their arsenal. take a look at sanda or sanshou.they perfect the sidekick and it is the deadliest weapon.

about the throat eye and stomach stuff, you clearly have a very warped view of what real life and death/serious injury street fighting is about. if you dont train or eve recognize the importance of biting, eye gouging, throat piercing, ear slapping, groin shots etc in street fighting you are going to get hospitalized. i have been in ONE street fight where the person was almost twice my size. i punched him in the groin. i win. if you dont train realistically, in reality you're fucked

ground fighting is very good to know but on the street it is not always the best idea to jump to the ground. there could be glass everywhere or there could be more than one person attacking you. good luck ground fighting while the other guys are stomping your head in. based on the fact that you refuse to consider what other people say, you are most likely pigeonholed yourself as a fighter, discriminating techniques if they come from styles you think are for "nuthuggers." good bye forever

Aktin yes its true Bruce was scared to kick ass in real life off screen because he would go to prison for murder because he knew how deadly his fists were.
Beating people on screen was safer for him and he could keep out of trouble. He kicked peoples ass in HK befor coming to America. The hong kong cops gave him an ultimatum of either going to jail or getting out of the country.
