| He went to his galaxy all right, but was it worth it. I don't think so. It's worth being self destructive if you're some kind of genius like Kurt Cobain or Jim Morrison but this guy? They were just a good band they weren't what you'd call ground breaking. |

| Groundbreking? these guys? not really. but kurt cobain was overrated. he mostly wrote stream of conciousness which ANYone can do, and played sloppy metal and called it grunge. shannon hoon and blind melon were WAY more talented than nirvana. |

| This is such a sad video to watch. Shannon Hoon was a genius. Blind Melon crossed markets of Phish (and to some extent Greatful Dead) and Jane's Addiction. I understand his trouble with drugs. I myself battled a coke, meth, crack... you name it addiction. My life was simple compaired to his. "Everybody's life's got static. You're life fucking perfect?" Heathers quote. People please do not throw stones at people who live in glass houses. I wish he hadn't but I understand why he could no longer... |

| Once Shannon cut his hair he was doing twice as much heroin and smoking crack. His mother tried to get him help but had a somewhat tolerant attitude towards his addictions. I know she used to bake hash brownies and weed cookies for fans. Anyway its a terrible loss, you have this asshole from Nickelback alive and well and Shannons eating dirt. It all comes down to fate, not choices...at least he can party with Layne now. |
