This footage was shot in 2005 by myself, Rob Goldsmith, for the UK History Channel's documentary "Titanic - A Tale of Two Journeys". I was lucky enough to win this trip through a competition. This is a 6 minute piece i've remastered and edited together from the 7 hours of footage I shot, very little of which has been broadcast... Enjoy. If I died on Titanic I would definitly not want that beautiful ship to rot at the bottom of the ocean forever !!!!! I WOULD WANT HER TO COMPLETE HER MAIDEN VOYAGE AND AT LEAST SEE SUNLIGHT AGAIN!!!!!!!!

not just a graveyard for these that perished but also a reminder of human limits and failures. theres no need to dig the ship out. its far too damaged to be reused and it already became a part of the sealife. its good where it is and keeps the mysterious aura that way :) nice footage by the way

not just shoes,, but theres plenty of shoes there with the laces still tied so thats where bodies would of been, plus pices like glasses and gloves etc in the ground would of been bodies, many of the bodies would of been eaten by sealife, or exploded on way down cos of the pressure of the water, very sad but true unforunatly

The shoes in the sand on the debris field has to be the saddest thing, just looking at the videos is only a small scale of what it's really like to be down there, it must be very moving to see it all first hand.
then to going away down to the remains of the wreck with the dangers of 3 1/2 psi all around you, you must be brave, in the 1994 documentry expedition the pilot of the sub said it would be very quick if anything happend, but they could seal it up in time.

but if they dnt hurry up and take it out the water it will collapse because of the damage that has been done to it.btw obviously its to damedged to b reused.its been underwater for nearly 100 yrs.the reason they wont to take it out is to put most of it in to a massive museum.

yes workers in the yard where able to go to the drawing office and get the drawings of any ship as the yard kept copies. My dad has got copies of h&w drawings of titanic because he worked there although the amount of drawings needed to reproduce titanic would be thousands whenever you think of the detail. As the yard is not functional as such i dont know what would have been of any original drawings

then you really dont care about titanic, hundreds of people now call that wreck their final resting place, who are you with no connection to titanic to say it needs to be raised it doesnt belong to you or anyone else who thinks the same as you. titanic belongs to its victims to rest in peace. too many things have been stripped from her for peoples trophies

You are so lucky its been a dream of mine since I was 6 to go down and see the Titanic its the most beautiful ship of the sea.
