I understand a level editor was used for the stairs, but how did he access Diablo so quickly once he reached the final level ? That's what has me confused.

It says it was done in 40 segments, so I assume he just kept making new games until the stairs were right next to him and edited the clips together for the speedrun.

No i mean like it is a real game and he does play real games . But the way he did is is by like opening new games or mapediting it that way therefore its real but its fake ..... im confused at my own explanation lol

He didn't use the level editor. The official site actually says that he would keep reloading the game for each level until the stairs were in front of him.
