| Growing up in Lebanon, we were always taught that we should be patriotic for Mother Armenia. That we should always honor our Armenian Heritage and be proud of our history, our painful past, and our perseverance. I never knew how to treasure my Armenian identity as such UNTIL Raisa came to Lebanon for a concert. With every word she sang, I felt as if I was tasting the waters of Arax and Sevan, breathing the air of Massis, smelling the aroma of our soil. Her voice gave me my Armenian identity. |
