I love Radiohead, and I love this song, but I only just now realized, or interpreted the song as being a negative commentary on several aspects of modern life. Everything becoming fake, artificial. Literally and figuratively. The security guy made me think of Big Brother, and then the store itself with them rolling in carts through it almost as an analogy for urban life. That last part might be a BIT far-fetched. But it's midnight and I'm overtired and stoned so gimme a break.
