Day 26 of 100 Day Raw Food Challenge: Raw on the Road

Uploaded by: RawFoodPower
Video Description:
Today I ask for advice on how to stay raw while on the road. I will be traveling for work, and will be living out of a hotel for a week. Any suggestions for staying raw while traveling are greatly appreciated, and I'm sure others will also appreciate your sage advice!

I would recommend taking a magic bullet blender they are so small and easy to carry. stock up your fridge with fruit and spinach and you can at least have smoothies for breakfast. Happy Mothers Day to you too, you always brighten up my day, your energy is contagious.

This is perfect timing! I'm going to be checking the answers for myself. I'm going on a TWO WEEK camping trip in a tent in September and I have been wondering how I can be raw with no frig and no electricity! We will be in established campgrounds so I think little stores will be nearby so it's not totally caveman-ish. I plan to make tons of gRAWnola and eat lots of fruit, fresh & dried, but how to get my greens?

Hey Bunny - I hope you have (or had) a Happy Mothers Day :-) Great! Let's go to Hawaii together - I've never been :-) I've little experience of raw traveling yet but I suspect I'd try to make the best use of the simple raw foods available in the markets etc and pack some of xmantidx's energy bars (on my subs) and some choc truffles ... ie something dense and delicious to round off a simple meal ... hmmm I can't wait to see how this works out! xx

Happy Mothers Day! Pack dried fruits, nuts, crackers etc. Pack pre packaged raw bars of all kinds if you can find them. Pack fruit in your bag to munch. Store fruit and veg in the hotel fridge. Find the nearest healthfood store and farmers market to the hotel, exist on fruits and veg, nothing complex like recipes (it's HAWAII!!) Find those raw food places. There MUST be some, check on forums too for suggestions from Hawaiians. Hotels usually have a fruit platter on the menu if you get caught out
