ame a #1 single for the group in late 1961. In addition to The Beatles, the song has also been covered by The Carpenters and Lil' Wayne.

Don't try to tell the stupid kids of this generation today. They just don't and won't get it. We live and go back to those years because we are older and it was the hottest thing in america. They created the the style
with narru and beatle shoes and the monkey belts the hair, the start of the hippe generation, and influenced the musicans of today from the ERA like my self. The people had never been exposed to naything like that and they were the craze and a part of american history.

why do you say that (stupid?!?) kids of this generation wont and dont get it. i understand it. im 14. and i appreciate the beatles just as much as any 50 year old in that generation. in fact the beatles are my favorite group. i understand that basically MADE music. today's music absolutely has no comparison to the music back then..dont be so judgmental to this generations *young adults*. just because you were there doesnt mean you understand it and get it more than we do..think before you speak.
